Far Cry 5 finally has an official launch date, but it is quite far away, in February 2018. But on the bright side, a video trailer of the game has been released.
The game is set in the wild west of Hope County, Montana. The plot involves a fanatical cult called Eden’s Gate, its leader Joseph Seed, and his siblings, the Heralds, who have the county under their control. And guess whose job it is to free Hope County?
You can play the entire single player campaign in solo or two-player co-op mode. There is also a mention about recruiting Guns and Fangs for hire, in your battle against the the cult. This could be a reference to possible AI allies. Far Cry 5 will offer customization of your character, as you progress through the campaign. Unfortunately the game is not set in the 18th century wild west as we hoped for. Instead we get a country side with muscle cars, ATV's, planes etc.
And as promised, here is the Far Cry 5 video trailer which features the church we wrote about earlier this month.
Far Cry 5 will come in three versions: A regular version, a Deluxe Edition and a Gold Edition.
The Digital Deluxe Pack includes: The Big Game Hunter Pack, Ace Pilot Pack, Explosive Pack, The Chaos Pack and AR-C Assault Rifle & .44 Magnum Handgun with unique skins.
The Gold Edition includes the game, the Digital Deluxe Pack & the Season Pass.
Far Cry 5 will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 27th, 2018.
Far Cry 5 is available for pre-order from Steam for $59.99 / 59,99€/ Rs. 3499, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is available for $69.99 (Rs, 4,199 ), and the Gold Edition for $89.99 (Rs. 5,399).
