BBM for Windows Phone to be launched in July

After tasting success on iOS and Android platforms, BlackBerry have announced that the BBM is headed to Windows Phone in July.

The BlackBerry Messenger ran riot on both platforms, with the Android version leaking prior to the official release, and delaying the launch by a month.

Such was the reception from fans of the Instant Messaging service, with the number of active users standing at an impressive 85 Million.The announcement about the availability of the app on Windows Phone, came from the CEO John Chen, during the company’s earning calls on June 19th.

There is no information about the Windows Phone version of the app, but it is expected to be on par with the other platforms’. We will update you when the app is officially launched by BlackBerry, next month.
