BSNL basic broadband speed increases from 512kbps to 2 Mbps

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be increasing the speed of basic broadband connections. All the connections below 2Mbps will get a minimum of 2MBPS speed.This will come in effect from October 1, 2015.

BSNL is loosing customers to the private companies, so get the customers back BSNL is announcing more interesting features. Earlier BSNL announced free calls to Mobiles and Land line numbers from BSNL landline connections under specific plans. Launching the scheme here, Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said

BSNL should have frequent interface with customers and the efforts taken today by increasing the internet definition should help in digital India initiative, which is more for poor.

Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman and Managing Director, BSNL, said around 15-lakh customers in last few months have been added in last few months compared with earlier 7-8 lakh subscribers in a month.
