Vernee has declared on its social media account, that it plans to unveil several new phones, at the Mobile World Congress 2017, later this month. The first is the Vernee Apollo X, a special version of the original Apollo phone, at the Mobile World Congress 2017, later this month.
The Vernee Apollo X will run on Android 7.0 Nougat, and will be the first deca-core processor (likely the MTK Helio X30) phone to run the latest version of Android.
The next is the Apollo 2, which will be powered by the MediaTek Helio X30 processor, which was announced in September 2016. The Apollo 2 will come in two variants: one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and one with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The phone has a physical button on the front, which likely doubles as a fingerprint scanner.
The Vernee Mars Pro will run on MediaTek Helio P25, a 64-bit octa-core 16nm FinFET processor, which was announced recently. The phone will have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and sports an all-metal unibody design with thin bezels.
The Vernee Thor E is a big battery phone, which comes with a 5020 mAh battery, and yet is thin and light with a thickness of 8.2mm and a weight of 149gm. We can see a fingerprint scanner on the backpanel of the phone along with metallic buttons on the right side.
The Vernee Thor Plus offers more juice, with an even bigger 6050mAh battery, but surprisingly, it is even slimmer, with a thickness of 7.9mm. It has a metal body and a home button (hopefully fingerprint scanner) on the front. A 3.5 mm audio jack and a rear camera with a single LED flash can be seen in the picture.
The Vernee Thor Plus and the Apollo 2, show a clean stock-Android like UI, and a homescreen with Google apps. As a Nexus user, this appeals to me, and it is not often that OEMs tease their devices with press renders ahead of the launch, so we are pleased to see such a tactic.
Whether these phones will ever be launched in India, remains to be seen.
